Pengshan Pagoda

Currently under municipal protection, the pagoda is located on Pengshan Mountain outside the west gate of Cicheng. The stone structure resembles a brush pen hence nicknamed “Brush Pen Mountain”. It was built by Cixi County Governor Huo Yuxia during the reign of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1522A.D—1566A.D.). The pagoda is a seven-story hexagon about 22M high. It used to be a vantage point for people to enjoy a distant view.
